ASUS Eee Tablet eBook Reader and Note Taking Device

At Computex 2010 in Taipei, Taiwan, ASUS introduced its cloud-connected Eee Tablet ebook reader and digital note taking device with a 2450 dpi touch resolution screen. Asus says that users can select one of the built-in notepad templates on the Eee Tablet and have the option to store, sort and tag, organize or browse through them. The TFT-LCD offers 64-levels of grey and quick reading with 0.1 second text file page turns. The ASUS Eee Tablet also lets you make real time text annotations on-the-fly, and you can use the built-in 2 megapixel camera to capture images and write notes on them instantly. The device is equipped with a USB port and Micro SD slot, and offers 10-hours of battery life.
The ASUS Eee Tablet is expected to cost between $199 and $299 when it launches next September.

BN eReader App for iPad

Barnes & Noble has launched its free BN eReader app for iPad, instantly extending their reach beyond the company's NOOK ebook reading device. Apple iPad owners can customize the way they read content with professionally designed or completely personalized themes, shop more than one million eBooks, newspapers and magazines in the Barnes & Noble eBookstore, and access their personal Barnes & Noble digital library, including most periodicals.
BN eReader for iPad also features Barnes and Noble’s LendMe technology, which lets customers share eligible eBooks with friends who can read the titles on a NOOK eBook Reader, iPad, iPhone, iPod touch and PC enabled with the BN eReader software for up to 14 days.
